Abby says I should write I love Reid. Isn't she sweet! Well, between Christmas and my computer being in the shop, I haven't written for a while. Oh well, back to my old routine I hope. Abby had a great birthday, I think. She got to get her ears pierced, took a friend to Chuck E. Cheese, and is getting ready to get baptized this weekend. Jessica is VERY excited about her birthday. She's getting a "princess bed" which consists of princess sheets and a comforter. I will also paint her room eventually, but it won't be before her birthday!
Kim is crazy. She reads all the time and plays computer games too much. She failed her scoliosis test and hearing test, but the doctor doesn't seem too concerned. She will be tested again in 6 months. Kim says her spine is a roller coaster. Kim is going to the Young Authors conference in a month. She has to have a book of poems written by her for that day. She's well on her way. She also thinks she's a big 5th grader. She went to learn about the band program at the middle school last week and I am going to a middle school orientation next week. She's an old lady!
Eric told Jessica to "take a hunt" the other day. I suspect he meant take a hike. We were getting ready to plant some flowers this week and he insisted that we all needed some "hay hats". I convinced him that we could plant the flowers without "hay hats." He's getting VERY excited about kindergarten. He loves to do addition flash cards as long as the answer isn't more than 10 (he only has 10 fingers).
Abby wants Reid to make gorilla poops today. Kim says I can't spell. This blog is not making much sense with Kim and Abby sitting on either side of me. I got roped into helping with a booth at kindergarten orientation and also helping with the nominating committee for PTA next year. I just help figure out who is willing and able to run for office. We don't ever have people fighting over jobs.
We are excited for grandma Heaton to come for a couple of days. Hopefully the kids will be wonderfully kind to each other the whole time!

Thank you for the update, dear. It sounds like things have been hectic.
Jessica will like the card we sent, goes right along with her mindset these days.
I think Eric is practicing his comedy routine. You keep laughing; he'll keep talking.
As for your big girls, I can see they are great helpers while you are trying to post a blog entry. I don't have such distractions.
XOXO
